Beginners Course Information
The course is run by qualified coaches who have current DBS checks and safeguarding certificates.
The club’s insurance covers you during the course and for 1 club session afterwards. After this you will need to affiliate to Archery GB (formerly The Grand National Archery Society – usually referred to as GNAS).
It would be great if you also felt like joining the club after the course is over. If you do, there is a discount of £10 for members who complete the course. Membership is on a pro-rata basis for new members. We have no additional shooting fees until we move indoors for the winter.
Archery has a handicap system so you can monitor your own progress and most clubs (including Lutterworth) shoot competitive rounds from time to time. There are also various shoots around the county and the country that you can enter. As long as you are a member of Archery GB, any archery club in the country should be happy to welcome you to shoot with them.
